Remember that it doesn't even have to be your DNA that leads to you. In this case it was relatives. So you can refuse to test all day but if your sister's kids do then they might still be able to target you.

Just remember kids, you only need to sequence less than 25% of the population before you can easily "reverse calculate" the genomes of the remaining 75% of the population.

I know people who have actually freely gave DNA samples to these places and think it's just good fun.
